Special Smiles New Jersey provides compassionate and comprehensive oral healthcare for people with intellectual, psychological, or developmental disabilities who require general anesthesia to safely receive high quality dental care.

Their special care dentists have over 80 years of combined dental experience and specialized training. Every staff member understands that individuals with special needs often have unique concerns. Special Smiles strives to provide a place of comfort and an elevated treatment experience for every patient, and to give them a dental home for life.

Presenters:

Karen Wilson Andrews, BSN, RN, has developed a diverse background in critical care, hospice, and nursing education. As Clinical Liaison, Karen works closely with patients, families, caregivers, and group home directors to address the unique challenges of providing safe and effective dental care for patients with special needs.

Bud Dranoff serves as a Patient Advocate for Special Smiles. He has extensive experience collaborating with government agencies, care providers, and advocacy groups. Bud is passionate about improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and their right to access high-quality healthcare.
